We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to work within the NOC team.
The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Infrastructure Engineer to join our NOC team. In the role, you will gain valuable experience in managing, maintaining, and supporting our IT infrastructure under the guidance of senior team members. You will be involved in various tasks, including assisting with deployments, troubleshooting issues, and learning new technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with managing and maintaining server infrastructure, including Dell iDRAC and HP iLO for server management, and virtualization platforms like VMware ESXi and Nutanix HCI.
- Assist with administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange Server (including Microsoft 365/Exchange Online), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services.
- Assist with deploying and managing databases, including MariaDB, SQL Server, and MySQL.
- Assist with implementing and managing backup solutions using Veeam.
- Assist with endpoint security management with Bitdefender GravityZone.
- Gain familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Gain familiarity with Python and Ansible.
- Gain familiarity with containerization including Kubernetes.
- Assist with managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, and VPNs.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining monitoring tools for system performance and security.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across various IT systems and applications.
- Document procedures and configurations for ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure smooth operation of IT systems.
- Proactively learn and apply new technologies and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in a system administration role.
- Strong understanding of server management, networking, and virtualization concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services.
- Familiarity with databases (MariaDB, SQL Server, MySQL).
- Experience with basic troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications in technologies such as Microsoft, VMware, or Linux.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with backup solutions (Commvault, Veeam) and antivirus management (Bitdefender).
- Experience with Office 365 tenant management.
- Familiarity with VIP Payroll, Pastel, and Sage ESS systems.
